Growing up on the west side of Detroit, I was driven to pursue excellence in education, achieving a degree in finance and a law degree, passing the bar on my first attempt. After several years of practicing law, I transitioned to grow a family-owned insurance and financial services company from the ground up, serving over 5,000 customers. This experience deepened my understanding of the unique challenges faced by entrepreneurs, especially those from underrepresented communities.

I learned to play chess by teaching my son, and together with my husband, we continue to enjoy quality time with family and friends in Michigan through game and movie nights.
