The Ultimate Guide to Building Confidence

Plus, My Aha Moment About Overcoming Bias with Wealth Creation

What is Confidence, and Why do you need it for wealth creation.

Confidence is the key to success. It is the foundation of our lives. It is a feeling that can be built and strengthened with time, effort and patience.

The lack of confidence results in women preferring to talk about anything —literally anything —-more than money, including their own deaths.

  • Confidence is not something that you are born with but rather something you can learn to build as you grow up.

  • When we are children, our confidence comes from our parents and family members who tell us how amazing we are every day, no matter what we do or how well it turns out.

  • As adults, however, we must come to terms with the fact that this kind of unconditional love does not exist outside of our families and friends.

So why is this confidence important for building wealth?

It gives you power. Power over making informed decisions. Power to grow your knowledge. Power to inspire generational wealth.

The 3 Ways to Build Your Wealth Creation Confidence From the Inside Out

The first way is to focus on your strengths and not on your weaknesses. This can be done by making a list of all the things that you are good at or by writing down three things that you are grateful for every morning.

The second way is to stop comparing yourself with others and instead focus on what makes you unique.

The third way is to practice mindfulness. Mindfulness can help us understand our thoughts and emotions in a better way, which can, in turn, help us become more confident.

My aha moment came when I realized my confidence level was not rising to meet my purpose and passion.

I wanted to provide more; helping women and their blended families is awesome, but something was missing. Although estate planning is important, I knew my purpose was to share my knowledge, and my passion is what drives me every day to do so. My only problem is that my lack of confidence kept me from sharing my purpose and passion with others on a broader level. Doing one-to-one work is awesome, coaching women on their next steps, but they started saying more women need this information. That support and following the steps above helped to build my confidence, and hence Generation Squared, a community to help women unlock their wealth potential, was born.

Overcoming Your Wealth Creation Bias

Would you agree that we can be our own worst enemy?

The number #1 bias for building wealth is financial Impostor syndrome. Financial impostor syndrome is the feeling of being a fraud and not deserving success.

The thoughts that you are a fraud or a “fake” will make you feel inadequate and lead to lower self-esteem.

I have seen this much too often, particularly in women. Once women have built their knowledge and found their passion, their confidence levels increase. And guess what else? Their wealth too!

Understand that financial impostor syndrome is normal. In fact, studies show that 70% of people feel like frauds at some point in their lives. Also, you’re not alone, and there are ways to overcome this feeling and move into your wealth creation.

Build confidence. Build your knowledge. Build your wealth.
